Stamped with the pottery name; Giovanni Malavolti. This kiln operated in Impruneta during the late 1800s. This is a full-bellied Orcio, there are tap holes front and back at the foot of the urn and one at the belly, suggesting it was originally for storage of wine or oil. Well weathered, has an attractive light patina.
